Services & Activities
At Lisheen
We offer an extensive range of activities in Lisheen dependent on resident interests and personal choice, which all residents have access to. The programme is updated regularly by our activities team in consultation with residents and is displayed throughout the House.
Our activities team aim to create a stimulating environment whilst supporting life skills and enhancing feelings of self-worth and purpose.
We provide a room for resident’s and their visitors / families to celebrate a special event, such as a birthday or anniversary, catering facilities may be provided for these. Special event arrangements need to be made with the catering team in advance and may also involve a charge.

Each week we entertain our residents with live music of different genres relative to our residents likes and past experiences.
We focus on in house events throughout the year to create a fulfilling and stimulating environment for our residents to live in.
External outings are organised throughout the year also, these outing include, bowling, concerts, picnics, visits to the beach, garden/shopping
Centres.
Religious & Cultural Beliefs
Resident’s religious and cultural beliefs and values are respected and accommodated.

Lisheen Nursing Home can facilitate all religious denominations, and have made the following arrangements/ facilities for residents to have access to religious services of their choice:

Oratory / reflective space is available 24 hours per day for use by all.

Roman Catholics: Mass takes place weekly in addition to a weekly prayer service.

Church of Ireland: A visit is made to by a Church of Ireland minister monthly upon availability or at request
Other denominations will be facilitated on request. Residents are also welcome to make their own arrangements for pastoral/ spiritual care and visitors of all faiths or none are welcomed.
